The SD EHDI Program works to ensure that deaf and hard-of-hearing children in South Dakota are identified through newborn, infant, and early childhood hearing screenings and receive diagnosis and appropriate early intervention to optimize language and vocabulary development, receptive language, expressive langue, and social-emotional development.
